In addition to managing live audio and web conferencing events, as well as archives of recorded teleconferences, video conference calls, and webinars ConferencePlus' customers can now use Share Portal to upload, store and publish a wide range of additional files and documents.SCHAUMBURG, IL, February 24, 2010 - Conference Plus, Inc. (ConferencePlus®), a subsidiary of Westell Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTL), and a leading global provider of conferencing solutions announced today their latest release of Share Portal™. Share Portal is an online content management tool offering on-demand access for archived conference calls, webinars, and other multimedia files.
Share Portal's latest enhancement gives customers the ability to upload external files, including multimedia, training documents, and sales presentations. Once uploaded, customers can then publish their files to secure web pages to be shared and redistributed as they see fit. Share Portal serves as an effective tool to promote content and further engage audiences through social sharing and repurposing of content. Published content can be easily organized to promote live and on-demand events and programs.
"With the growing need for content management tools, we wanted to offer our customers a user friendly interface tailored specific to their conferencing needs," said Tim Reedy, President and CEO, ConferencePlus. "Share Portal expands the usefulness and extends the life of our customer's content - giving them one place to manage and engage with their audiences, after the call or event has ended," Mr. Reedy added.
The new functionality included in this release adds to an already robust feature set. The Share Portal content management tool automatically stores audio conferences, Microsoft® Office Live Meeting recordings, Cisco WebEx™ recordings, and event registrations from ConferencePlus' Event Manager™ service.
"Our customers rely on us to not only execute their calls and meetings perfectly, but to also provide a secure place for post conference interaction and content sharing," said Mr. Reedy. "We plan to continually add more enhancements to make it easier for clients to share their content and engage on social platforms long after the initial conversation has ended," Mr. Reedy added.
